Buckeyes down Minnesota
The Ohio State football team downed the visiting Minnesota Gophers 37-3 Saturday in the Buckeyes’ last home game of the season. TreVeyon Henderson ran for 146 yards and two touchdowns. OSU travels to Ann Arbor Saturday.
OWU downs Ohio Northern
The Ohio Wesleyan women’s basketball team edged 17th-ranked Ohio Northern 58-55 Tuesday. Senior Kasey Schipfer, a Mechanicsburg alum, led all players with 26 points and nine rebounds. The Bishops travel to Muskingum Wednesday.
Nagbe signs contract extension
The Columbus Crew announced Friday that they have signed captain Darlington Nagbe to a multi-year contract extension. The three-time MLS Cup champion now has a deal that will keep him with the team through the 2025 season.
Jackets edge New Jersey
The Columbus Blue Jackets won their second straight game, beating the New Jersey Devils 2-1 on the road Friday. Boone Jenner and Eric Robinson scored goals for Columbus and goaltender Elvis Merzlikins stopped 38 of 39 shots.
