Fury fall to Grand Rapids in exciting match

The Columbus Fury played the second match of a three-match homestand Wednesday against the Grand Rapids Rise. After falling in the first two sets, the Fury bounced back and won the third set. The fourth set was one of the most exciting in the Fury’s nine games so far this season. They had three set points but couldn’t convert. The Rise did convert on their fourth try, winning 32-30 to clinch the match. [More]
Columbus Fury volleyball triumphant in home opener

From the time it hit the court Wednesday at Nationwide Arena, the Columbus Fury women’s volleyball team tried to embrace the moment. With it being the first home match in club history, there was a full introduction of players during the pregame and an atmosphere filled with excitement before a crowd of what was estimated to be more than 9,000 during the inaugural season of the Pro Volleyball Federation. The careers of Grace Osborn and Julia Foresi have been intertwined for a long time. It’s part of what makes the two sophomore midfielders work hand in hand with the Capital women’s lacrosse team. Osborn and Foresi led the Comets to their second consecutive NCAA tournament, falling to Washington and Lee 22-5 in the second round to finish 11-5. [More]
