Three CBUS-area teams move on to state final four

All of the OHSAA regional girls basketball games have been played this season and the teams going to the final four have been determined. Three squads will represent Central Ohio at the final stage of the tournament.
In Division I, Pickerington Central beat Olentangy, 51-36. Both teams were 22-3 coming into the contest. The Tigers last won a state championship in 2018, the team’s only title after Pickerington High School split into Central and North in 2003.
Big Walnut will be going on to the state tournament for the first time after defeating Westerville South, 62-53. South topped Big Walnut in both games that the teams played in the regular season as members of the OCC Capital Division.
In Division V, two-time defending state champion Africentric topped Ottawa-Glandorf, 53-38, to earn the right to go after a three-peat. The Nubians beat Ottawa-Glandorf in the championship game of last year’s tournament.
