Michigan dominates second half to down OSU lacrosse

The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team (8-2, 1-2) suffered only their second defeat of the season, but it was at the hands of arch-rival Michigan (7-3, 2-1) Thursday by the final of 14-7. After trailing at the half, 6-4, the Wolverines scored the first nine goals of the second half en route to the road victory.

Both senior Emily Magalotti and sophomore McKenna Harrington, an Olentangy Liberty alum, scored two goals for the Buckeyes. Senior Brynn Ammerman had two assists and a goal in the loss. Michigan senior Jill Smith set a new program points record with three goals and four assists on the evening.

Ohio State travels to Piscataway, N.J. for a Sunday game against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (7-4, 1-1). The action gets underway at 1:00 p.m.
