The Columbus Clippers played a noontime game with the Louisville Bats Thursday at Huntington Park. The Clippers took a 3-0 lead after three innings thanks primarily to solo shots from Will Wilson and Johnathan Rodriguez. Wilson leads the team with four home runs and 15 runs batted in. The Bats roared back and won 9-4.

Both Rodriguez and Will Brennan knocked out three hits on the afternoon, while Kyle Datres also had an RBI. The Bats scored three runs in the fifth inning, two in the sixth, and four in the seventh to pull away for the victory.

Columbus starter Doug Nikhazy pitched into the fifth inning, allowing two earned runs. He gave up four hits and struck out four. Zak Kent (0-1) suffered the loss, his first of the season, giving up two runs in the sixth. It was a frustrating seventh inning for Andrew Misiaszek, who allowed four runs on a series of seeing-eye and bloop hits.

Columbus now leads the series two games to one. The teams play game four Friday at Huntington Park starting at 6:15 p.m.
