ODU, Denison, Capital post big football wins

Ohio Dominican 21, Kentucky Wesleyan 3
In the battle of Panthers, Ohio Dominican (3-2, 2-2) traveled to Owensboro to take on Kentucky Wesleyan (0-6, 0-4) Saturday for a G-MAC tilt. ODU scored first when Nathan Webster ran it in from two yards out in the first quarter. After a KWC field goal in the third, Ohio Dominican sealed the win with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, on a Markquan Rucker run and a Kaden Holmes pick six. The final score was 21-3.

Denison 28, Wooster 7
The Denison Big Red (3-2, 2-1) were on the road at Wooster (3-3, 2-2) for a NCAC contest Saturday night. Denison scored the first two touchdowns of the game, both in the second quarter, and added scores in the third and fourth for the 28-7 win. Big Red quarterback Tyler Green paced the offense, throwing for 214 yards and two touchdowns. Blayton Reid, a Logan Elm alum, ran for a score as well.

Capital 52, Manchester 27
The Capital Comets (2-3, 0-3) played a non-conference game at Manchester (0-5, 0-1) Saturday. The Comets led at the half, 35-20, and rolled to a 52-27 victory. Running back Kassim Johnson rushed for 165 yards on 13 attempts and scored twice. Watkins Memorial grad Nate Younkin had 108 yards receiving and caught two passes for touchdowns. Teays Valley’s Tyler Love threw for 189 yards and three scores. 

Baldwin Wallace 56, Otterbein 14
It was a tough afternoon for the Otterbein Cardinals (0-5, 0-4) who played at home Saturday against the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets (4-1, 3-1). The Jackets scored 28 points in both halves to win, 56-14. Freshman running back Rocco DeLorenzo rushed for 106 yards on 13 carries for the Cardinals. Unioto’s Matt Griffin ran for a touchdown and Zane Duning scored on an exciting 95-yard kickoff return.
