Ohio Dominican 31, Thomas More 29
The Ohio Dominican Panthers (5-4, 4-4) traveled to Crestview Hills in northern Kentucky to take on the Thomas More Saints (0-10, 0-8) Saturday in a G-MAC tilt. ODU took a 28-17 lead late in the third quarter, but the Saints responded with two touchdowns to put them up 29-28 with 6:27 left to play. ODU’s Henry Vakerics kicked a 30-yard field goal with less than two minutes to give the Panthers a 31-29 victory.
Denison 33, Kenyon 18
The Denison Big Red (6-3, 5-2) were on the road at Kenyon (1-8, 21-6) for an NCAC contest Saturday. The Big Red scored all of their 33 points in the first half en route to a 33-16 win in Gambier. Denison quarterback Tyler Green was 44-63 for 420 yards and three touchdowns. Grayson Kerscher caught 10 passes for 131 yards and two scores. Rory Ralston, a Bishop Hartley alum, paced the Big Red with six solo tackles.
Muskingum 7, Capital 3
The Capital Comets (2-7, 0-7) hosted the Muskingum Muskies (4-5, 4-3) Saturday at Bernlohr Stadium in Bexley. It was a defensive struggle through all four quarters. The Comets scored first when Ethan Graham, a Lancaster grad, hit a 23-yard field goal as time expired in the second quarter. It took the Muskies until 10:58 to get on the board. A 99-yard drive, culminating in a one-yard plunge gave them a 7-3 OAC victory.
John Carroll 55, Ohio Wesleyan 17
The Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops (2-7, 1-6) were in University Heights to take on the #11 John Carroll Blue Streaks (8-1, 7-0) in an NCAC game Saturday. JCU scored 38 points in the first half and rolled to a 55-17 win to stay undefeated in conference play. Joseph Seney and Connor Stephens, an Olentangy Orange alum, led the Bishops with 11 tackles each.
Hanover 49, Otterbein 8
The Otterbein Cardinals (1-8, 1-6) were at Hanover College (7-2, 5-0) in central Indiana Saturday to play a non-conference game. The Panthers’ potent offensive attack put 42 points on the board in the first half and cruised to a 49-8 win. Otterbein scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter when Brayden Bayles, a Heath alum, found Christian Pataky on a 30-yard pass. Pataky then ran for the two-point conversion.
