The Ohio State men’s basketball team (6-0, 0-0) hosted the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers (1-6, 0-0) at Value City Arena Tuesday and put on a shooting exhibition en route to a 113-60 non-conference win.
The Buckeyes shot 41-60 from the field (68.3%), 15-31 from outside the arc (48.4%), and 16-19 from the free throw line (84.2%). John Mobley Jr. paced Ohio State with a career-high 26 points.
Four other Buckeyes were in double figures – Pickerington Central’s Devin Royal (17), Ivan Njegovan off the bench (15), Bruce Thornton (14), and Christoph Tilly, who scored all of his points in the first half (12).
Ohio State heads to the road for the first time this season, going to Pittsburgh Friday for a game with the Panthers (4-3, 0-0). Pitt fell to Quinnipiac, 83-75, in the Legends Classic Sunday. Friday’s game at the Peterson Events Center tips off at 7:00 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN.
