The #12-ranked Ohio Wesleyan women’s basketball squad (12-1, 3-0 NCAC) won its 11th game in a row, beating Wittenberg (8-6, 1-2) by the final score of 76-67 in Springfield Saturday. The Battling Bishops were led by Fairbanks alum Macy Miller, who registered her 11th double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds.
OWU led by only two points, 56-54, at the end of the three quarters, but started the final frame with a 14-4 run to take control of the contest.
Off the bench, Kendall Dieringer scored a career-high 18 points, while also recording four assists, four rebounds, and three steals. Delaware’s Alyssa Griner added 14 points and Maddie Ebbert chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.
The Bishops return home for an NCAC matchup with the Kenyon Owls (5-9, 0-3 NCAC) Wednesday. The tip-off at Branch Rickey Arena is set for 7:00 p.m. All of the action can be seen on the Ohio Wesleyan athletics website.
