With help of local talent, Otterbein lacrosse tops Adrian

The Otterbein women’s lacrosse team (5-2, 0-0 OAC) won its fourth straight game Saturday, downing the host Adrian College Bulldogs (4-1, 0-0 MIAA) in overtime, 14-13. It was the first loss of the season for the Bulldogs.

It was a goal from Leela Henry, a Pickerington Central grad, at the 4:12 mark of OT that sealed the win. Henry finished with four goals and two assists for the Cardinals.

Pacing the Otterbein attack was Westerville South’s Ava Robey, who recorded four goals and three assists. Also adding goals were Dakota Klein (3) and Madi McIntosh (2), both Olentangy Berlin alums. Henry, Klein, and McIntosh are all freshmen.

Alayna Bogner, a sophomore from Olentangy Liberty, earned the win in goal for the Cardinals. She is now 5-1 on the season.

Otterbein remains on the road for its next contest, traveling to Oberlin (6-0, 0-0 NCAC), another as yet undefeated opponent, for a non-conference game this Wednesday beginning at 6:00 p.m.
