It was a good day to be a member of the media covering the Columbus Blue Jackets. The team showed off their food offerings this season from Chef Sean Barger and we were invited to “weigh” in with our culinary thoughts.
The highlights of this year’s menu are: Mediterranean Nachos (a spiced pita, shawarma, and harissa yogurt), Croissant Dog, Sloppy “No” (vegan Korean sloppy joe with Asian slaw), Smoked Turkey Sandwich, 61 Stack (a unique smash burger), Umami Fries, Barbacoa Tacos, and a variety of desserts, including CBJ Cream Puffs and Dessert Nachos.
One of the CBJ’s theme nights once again this season will be “Margaritaville”. Here is the shirt that will be available
The Blue Jackets’ Director of Retail Showcasing, Robin Vlah, introduced some new clothing items, including new shirts that will be a part of the team’s theme nights: Grateful Dead (Oct. 24), Star Wars (Nov. 1), Stinger (Jan. 3), Superman (Jan. 15), Margaritaville (Jan. 22), Military Appreciation (Jan. 28), Hockey is for Everyone (Mar. 3), and First Responders (Mar. 25).
And, of course, there will be a bobblehead of Mathieu Olivier, in his fighting stance, that will be part of Hockey Fights Cancer night on Nov. 13.
Fans can get a complete look at the Blue Jackets’ promotional schedule by clicking HERE. For us here at CBUSsports.com, we’re looking forward to the Dessert Nachos with a side of CBJ Cream Puffs!
Mathieu Olivier will get a bobblehead as part of the Hockey Fights Cancer night on Thursday, Nov. 13 when the Blue Jackets host the Edmonton Oilers.
