Buckeye men's basketball overwhelms Western Michigan

Five members of the Ohio State men’s basketball team (4-0, 0-0) scored in double figures Thursday at Value City Arena and the Buckeyes routed the visiting Western Michigan Broncos (2-4, 0-0) by the final score of 91-58.

The Buckeyes were led by Christoph Tilly, who scored 17 points. John Mobley Jr. had 15, followed by Amare Bynum (12), Bruce Thornton (11), and Devin Royal (10). Royal is a Pickerington Central alum. Western Michigan was paced by Brady Swartz, who had 20 points off the bench.

Tilly also had seven assists on the night to lead the Buckeyes, while Royal and Bynum each grabbed ten rebounds. Ohio State takes the hardwood next at home against Mt. St. Mary’s Tuesday. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. Fans can see all of the action on the Big Ten Network.
