The Ohio State women’s volleyball team welcomed the Northwestern Wildcats to the Covelli Center Thursday for an important Big Ten match. The Buckeyes came from behind to take the first set 25-23, then cruised to capture the second set, 25-16.

The third set was another nail-biter with the Buckeyes winning it 26-24 to take the match 3-0 for their first Big Ten victory of the season. OSU is now 8-7 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

Utica grad Emily Londot led all players with 15 kills. Londot has had at least 10 kills in every match this season. Olivia Hasbrook, who has at least 10 digs in every match, had a match-high 12 digs against the Wildcats. Setter Kamiah Gibson paced the Bucks with 31 assists, more than twice as much as anyone else on the floor.

The Buckeyes host Michigan this Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
