The Columbus Clippers traveled to Toledo for a rare Monday game and came away with a 5-3 win over the Mud Hens.

The Clippers jumped out to a 4-0 lead after a three-run third inning, including a two-run single off the bat of catcher Bryan Lavastida. Lavastida had already knocked in a run with a double in the second.

Both Micah Pries and Juan Brito recorded three hits for Columbus. Pries hit a solo home run in the sixth inning, his seventh of the campaign. Angel Martínez, back from Cleveland after seeing his first MLB action, singled and drove in a run.

Xzavion Curry started the game for Columbus and picked up his second win of the season, going 5.1 innings and giving up two runs on three hits and striking out seven. Anthony Gose gave up a run in the ninth, but held on for his fifth save.

The Clips and Mud Hens are back at it Tuesday, with the first pitch slated for 7:05pm. After the third game of their series Wednesday, the teams will head to Huntington Park for three games beginning Thursday.
