The Columbus Crew have signed Dylan Chambost to a multi-year contract extension through June 2029, the Club announced today. The French midfielder and Leagues Cup 2024 champion is currently in his third season with the Black & Gold after joining the team from French side AS Saint-Étienne. 

“Dylan’s consistency, reliability and performances have been evident over the past three seasons,” said Crew General Manager Issa Tall. “His professionalism and team-first mindset have made a strong impact within our locker room.” 

“I’m really happy and proud to be extending my contract with the Crew,” said Chambost. “Being part of this Club means a lot to me. I’m looking forward to continuing our journey together and achieving our goals!” 

Chambost has started six of the seven regular season matches in which he has appeared for the Black & Gold thus far this season, recording three assists. In 2025, Chambost was the only Crew player to appear in all 34 regular season matches, recording one goal and a career-high eight assists.  

After arriving in Columbus in summer of 2024, Chambost scored in his first competitive match for the Crew, burying his left-footed rebound against Sporting Kansas City on Aug. 9. The 28-year-old recently appeared in his 50th regular season match on April 18. He has started four of five postseason matches and four of six Leagues Cup matches since joining the Crew.  

The 28-year-old native of Annecy, France came to Ohio after helping Saint-Étienne earn promotion back to France’s Ligue 1. In total, he appeared in 61 matches and scored nine goals since joining Saint-Étienne in 2022 for his second stint with the club. 

Chambost made his professional debut for Saint-Étienne on Jan. 24, 2018, in a Coupe de France match against Troyes. In 2019, Chambost joined Ligue 2 side Troyes and guided his side to the top of the table during the 2020-21 season, five points clear of their closest competitor, to earn promotion to Ligue 1.
