Fury fall in Orlando for third straight loss

The Columbus Fury won their opening set in Orlando Sunday, then lost three straight to find themselves on the losing end.

The Fury started well against the Valkyries. After taking the first set 27-25, Columbus then fell 25-21, 21-18, and 25-21 and lost their third straight match after winning four of their previous five.

Izabella Rapacz led Columbus with 21 points. Terry Raina, a Marengo native, added 18. Setter Wilma Rivera had team-high 32 assists and libero Kate Georgiades recorded 16 digs.

The Fury are back at Nationwide Arena on Friday to face the Vegas Thrill. Columbus beat Vegas at Nationwide, 3-1, when they played on February 17. The action will get started Friday at 7:00 p.m.
