Fury swept in San Diego as season nears end

The Columbus Fury (8-20) are in the final week of their second season. Going into Thursday’s match with the San Diego Mojo (11-17), they had two games remaining. Like the Fury, San Diego is not headed to the PVF post-season. However, the Mojo dominated Thursday’s action, winning in three sets – 25-21, 25-21, and 25-20.
Kaylee Cox paced the Fury against San Diego with 11 kills. Izabella Rapacz added 10 kills. Megan Lush had a good all-around game for Columbus with a team-leading 12 digs, as well as nine kills and three blocks. Setter Nootsara Tomkom led the Fury with 28 assists. Janice Leao recorded two service aces.
Columbus has one game left this season. The Fury travel to Las Vegas to take on the Thrill Sunday beginning at 9:00 p.m. EDT. The match can be seen on the CBS Sports Network.
