After a tough start to the season, the Columbus Fury took a three-game winning streak to the West Coast Saturday. The Fury was looking for their first victory against the San Diego Mojo in their sixth try over the last two years.

Both teams came into the match with identical 4-8 records. The Fury won the first set 25-20 after starting with a 6-1 lead. After that, it was all San Diego, as the Mojo won the next three sets, 25-19, 25-20, and 25-22.

Columbus was paced by Izabella Rapacz with 48 attacks, 14 kills, and three blocks. Kaylee Cox added 10 kills. Setter Wilma Rivera recorded 43 assists and libero Kate Georgiades had 19 digs.

The Fury return home for a match against Omaha this Wednesday. The first serve at Nationwide Arena is slated for 7:00 p.m.
