Ohio Dominican wins football opener on the road

The Ohio Dominican football team traveled to the Pittsburgh area Thursday to take on the Seton Hill Griffins to open its season. Seton Hill had opened their schedule with 56-24 loss at Fairmont State the week before. The Panthers posted three touchdowns to take a 21-0 lead in the third quarter Thursday, then held on for a 21-14 victory. [More]

Fury sign libero Cerame

The Columbus Fury have signed Puerto Rican native, and former Orlando Valkyrie, Paula Cerame to play in 2025. Cerame, a 5-8 libero, played three seasons at the University of Florida and spent her final two collegiate seasons with Indiana University. After finishing her collegiate career, she played for the Puerto Rican National Team in 2022 and 2023 before signing with Orlando last summer. [More]

The Columbus Fury added another free agent Friday with the signing of Janice Leao out of the University of Miami and Criollas de Caguas of the Puerto Rican League. Leao, a middle blocker, played five seasons for the Hurricanes where she finished her career as an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention selection. [More]
Fury sign first free agent for second season

The Columbus Fury opened off-season free agency with the addition of outside hitter Jill Gillen. Gillen is the club’s first signing for the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation season. The former Arkansas Razorback was selected eighth in the inaugural PVF draft by the Omaha Supernovas before being traded to the Orlando Valkyries on draft day. [More]
Fury fall to Grand Rapids in exciting match

The Columbus Fury played the second match of a three-match homestand Wednesday against the Grand Rapids Rise. After falling in the first two sets, the Fury bounced back and won the third set. The fourth set was one of the most exciting in the Fury’s nine games so far this season. They had three set points but couldn’t convert. The Rise did convert on their fourth try, winning 32-30 to clinch the match. [More]

From the time it hit the court Wednesday at Nationwide Arena, the Columbus Fury women’s volleyball team tried to embrace the moment. With it being the first home match in club history, there was a full introduction of players during the pregame and an atmosphere filled with excitement before a crowd of what was estimated to be more than 9,000 during the inaugural season of the Pro Volleyball Federation.
