The Ohio State women’s basketball team (9-1) was at home Sunday to host a non-conference game with the Toledo Rockets (3-5). Toledo kept it close in the first half, trailing 37-33 at the break. The Buckeyes then stepped on the accelerator, outscoring the Rockets 48-27 in the final two quarters for an 85-60 win.
Kennedy Cambridge paced the Ohio State offense with 23 points. Cambridge leads the Buckeyes in scoring on the season, averaging 21.7 points/game. Chance Gray had 15 points for OSU Sunday, while Jaloni Cambridge chipped in with 12. T’yana Todd added 10. Kylee Kits led the rebounding effort with 13.
The Buckeyes have two more non-conference contests before getting back into Big Ten play. They host Norfolk State Thursday, then Western Michigan the following Tuesday. After beating Northwestern in Evanston, Ill. on Dec. 7, the Bucks return to conference action with a home game against UCLA Dec. 28.
