The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team (9-6, 3-4 Big Ten) returned to Columbus after a two-overtime win at USC in Los Angeles last Saturday. On Wednesday, the Buckeyes hosted Kent State (7-8, 2-2 MAC) at the Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium and came away with a convincing 17-6 win.
Dublin Coffman’s Kate Tyack and Upper Arlington’s Camryn Callaghan scored four goals each in the victory. More local products had tallies for the Bucks: Zoe Coleman (Bishop Watterson – 3), Annie Hargraves (UA – 2), and Kampbell Stone (UA-1). Also scoring single goals were Isabelle Osborne, Lexie Kupka, and Olivia Orso.
Three goaltenders played for Ohio State against the Golden Flashes: Camille Samarasinghe, Jocelyn Torres, and Emmalynn Francis. Torres played 45 minutes in the net, with five saves, and earned the win.
The Buckeyes’ final regular season game is this Saturday when they take on the #1-ranked Maryland Terrapins (13-1, 5-1 Big Ten) at Ohio State. Before coming to Columbus, the Terps play at #11 Michigan Thursday. Saturday’s contest begins at 4:00 p.m. and will air on the Big Ten Network.
