OSU sends 15 athletes to NCAA T&F Championships

The Ohio State track and field squad will send 15 team members to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. The events will begin on Wednesday, June 11 and continue through Saturday, June 14. Four of the athletes are from the CBUS area.
The Buckeyes competed this past week at the NCAA First Round meet in Jacksonville, Fla. During the competition, they set two program records. Leah Bertrand broke the existing OSU record in the women’s 100m dash with a time of 10.92. Braxton Brann then set a new mark of 13.36 in the men’s 110m hurdles.
The four local athletes are: D.J. Fillmore (Licking Heights) in the men’s long jump; Denzell Feagin (Pickerington Central) in the men’s 4x100m relay; Noah Carmichael (Cristo Rey) and Mason Louis (Bexley) in the men’s 4×400 relay.
All of the athletes competing are:

- Fatouma Conde (women’s 200m and 4x100m relay)
- Bobbi Olive (women’s 4x100m relay)
- Janela Spencer (women’s 100m hurdles and 4x100m relay)
- Amaya Ugarte (women’s high jump)
- Nick Biega (men’s 4x100m relay)
- Braxton Brann (men’s 100m hurdles and 4x400m relay)
- Marcus Brown (men’s 4x100m relay)
- Noah Carmichael (men’s 4x400m relay)
- Denzell Feagin (men’s 4x100m relay)
- D.J. Fillmore (men’s long jump)
- Nazzio John (men’s 4x100m relay)
- Mason Louis (men’s 4x400m relay)
