After taking a road doubleheader against Michigan State (9-15, 1-5) Friday, the Ohio State softball squad (25-6-1, 5-1) completed a sweep of the Spartans with a 24-2 five-inning win in East Lansing Sunday. The Buckeyes hit five home runs to power the victory.

OSU scored eight runs in the first inning Sunday and, after three scores in both the second and third innings, finished their offensive output in the fifth with 10 tallies. Hadley Parisien, Kami Kortakrax, Jasmyn Burns, Kaitlyn Farley, and Morgan Frye all hit round-trippers, with Parisien, Burns, Farley, Frye, and Skylar Limon all knocking in three runs.

Starter Lorin Boutte (12-4) went three scoreless innings and earned the win. The freshman did not allow a hit, walked one, and struck out one. Boutte also got the win in Friday’s opening game against the Spartans.

The Buckeyes have two non-conference games this week, welcoming Purdue Fort Wayne into Buckeye Field Tuesday and Akron Thursday. Both contests get underway at 5:00 p.m. Then, it’s three home games against the Indiana Hoosiers, a single game on Saturday (2:00 p.m.), Sunday (1:00 p.m.), and Monday (7:00 p.m.).
