The Ohio Wesleyan women’s basketball team finished their season with a record of 25-4, NCAC regular season and tournament titles, and an NCAA berth. The Bishops won games in their first two rounds off the NCAA tourney, but fell to Baldwin Wallace, 68-65, in Bloomington, Ill. Friday.

Baldwin Wallace lost their first game of the season, at Washington & Jefferson, and have since rolled off 29 straight victories. In Friday’s game, the Yellow Jackets led OWU 39-31 at halftime. The Bishops cut the lead to five after three quarters and got to within two points with 25 seconds remaining, but BW scored the game’s last five to seal the victory.

Macy Miller, a Fairbanks grad, paced the Bishops with 20 points, while Mechanicsburg alum Kasey Schipfer added 16. With the victory Friday, Baldwin Wallace moves on to Division III’s Elite Eight. The Yellow Jackets will face Wisconsin-Oshkosh Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in Bloomington. The Titans are 26-4 this season.
