Three members of the Ohio State football teamwere named as Walter Camp Preseason All-Americans. Junior wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and redshirt junior offensive lineman Austin Siereveld were first team selections, while redshirt sophomore quarterback Julian Sayin was named to the second team.
Smith has amassed 2,558 receiving yards and 27 touchdown receptions in his two seasons at OSU. The Miami, Fla. native has more receiving yards and receiving touchdowns than anyone in the country over that time: 2,558 and 27, respectively.
Siereveld is coming off his first season as a full-time starter. Over the last two seasons, the Lakota West grad has played in 30 games, including 21 starts. In those two campaigns, the O-line has helped to make OSU just one of two schools in the FBS (with Miami Univ.) to have a 3,500-yard passer, a 1,000-yard receiver, and a 1,000-yard rusher each season.
Sayin, a transfer from the Univ. of Alabama, won his first 12 games as the starter last season. He became a Heisman Trophy finalist and led the nation in completion percentage (77.0 pct.) while ranking second nationally in efficiency (177.5). In 2025, he threw for 3,601 yards and 32 touchdowns, with eight interceptions.
