The Columbus Clippers topped St. Paul 5-3 at Huntington Park Sunday to finish the season at 78-69. Five different pitchers threw for the Clippers in the victory, with Jack Jasiak picking up the win in relief, his first of the campaign, and Izaak Martinez earning his first save. Here are our three takeaways from Sunday’s game:

1.    Kahlil Watson finished the season with a solid game at the plate. The 23-year-old had four singles in as many at bats Sunday, knocking in a run and scoring three times. Watson spent 27 games with the Guardians this season, his first stint in the Big Leagues, where he hit .239 with a home run and 11 runs knocked in. With the Clippers, he ended the season with a .247 batting average, 19 homers, and 60 RBIs.

2.   In 2026, the Clipper with the top qualifying batting average (at least 465 plate appearances) was Cooper Ingle, who finished at .297. Ingle also played seven games with Cleveland in June and July. Kody Huff spent the entire campaign with Columbus and topped the Clippers with six triples, 23 home runs, and 81 runs batted in. Ingle paced the team with 86 walks. Milan Tolentino had the dubious distinction of striking out the most on the team, 157 times.

3.   On the pitching front, Trenton Denholm had 12 wins to lead Columbus. The 26-year-old right-hander was the only Clipper to record double-digit victories. He has not yet been called up by the Guardians. Rorik Maltrud, another 26-year-old who has yet to play at the MLB level, paced Columbus with an ERA of 3.90. Franco Aleman was the Clippers’ top reliever. In a season divided between Columbus and Cleveland, Aleman was 3-1 with the Clippers with a team-best 10 saves and an ERA of 1.32.
