The Columbus Clippers took five of six games in their series with Toledo at Huntington Park this week, capped by a 6-3 win Sunday. Cooper Ingle and Angel Genao continued their hot hitting to pace the offense, which had a great series, averaging more than seven runs a game. Here are our three takeaways from Sunday’s finale:

1.    Columbus starter Rorik Maltrud had another solid performance, earning his fourth win against just one loss. The 26-year-old went 6.1 innings and gave up one run on four hits. Toledo’s lone score against Maltrud came on a solo shot from Gage Workman in the third inning. The Atlanta native has pushed his ERA down to 4.02, which paces the Columbus starters.

2.   Ingle and Genao have been hitting in the top two spots in the Clippers’ order with great success. On Sunday, Ingle had two base knockes and two runs batted in, while Genao had a three-hit day, including his 17th Triple-A double of the season. Ingle is now hitting .327 with an 1.042 OBS. Genao is at .308 and .866. It’s easy to see why they are listed as the #3 and #2 prospects for the Guardians, respectively (Ralphy Velazquez is #1 on the chart).

3.   The Clippers’ roster was bolstered by the addition of three players this weekend. LHP Will Dion returned to Columbus from a short stint with the Guardians. He now has 12 relief appearances for Cleveland this season and has yet to record a win or loss. Catcher Dom Nuñez is back from the Development List and outfielder Blake Perkins joined the club after coming over in a trade with Milwaukee.
