Former Pickerington North golfer Carson Bellish wins Ohio Amateur

Former Pickerington North star Carson Bellish shot an even par 72 Friday to finish the four rounds of the 2026 Ohio Amateur Championship with a score of -7 and a two-shot victory. The Championship, which began Tuesday, was held at Virtues Golf Club in Nashport.

Bellish just finished his senior season at Xavier University in Cincinnati, where he was a first-team All-Big East performer as a junior. This season, he helped the Musketeers win the Big East championship in May, their first title since 2005. With the win Friday, Bellish is now exempt to play in the 2026 U.S. Amateur Championship at Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania from August 10-16.

Bellish finished two strokes ahead of Liam Curtis and Luke Siefker, a Dublin Coffman grad who is heading into his sophomore year at the University of Findlay. This season as a freshman, Siefker played in eight tournaments for the Oilers, finishing in the top ten three times.

Former Upper Arlington golfer, and two-time Ohio State captain, Colin Biles finished tied for fourth at -2. Another Golden Bear alum, Chase Bokker finished in  a tie for 16th with a score of +3. Bokker just completed his sophomore year at Robert Morris University where he was second on the team in scoring average.

Also finishing at +3 were Jackson Harris and Vaughn Harber. Jackson, who finished up his high school career at Olentangy Liberty this year, will be competing at Marshall University this fall. Harber, a DeSales grad who was the OHSAA 2023 state champion, has played for Ohio State the past two seasons.
